Our Faith
The Sacrament of Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the grace received at Baptism. It is a powerful deepening of our relationship with God, strengthening the faithful with the gifts of the Holy Spirit to witness to Christ with courage and conviction.
Strengthened by the Spirit
The prophets of old foretold that the spirit of the Lord would rest upon the promised Messiah, a prophecy fulfilled in the life and mission of Jesus Christ through His life, death, and Resurrection. Our Savior promised this same Spirit to the Apostles and to His entire Church, ensuring that we would be guided by His wisdom and grace through every generation.
In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and receive a permanent spiritual mark identifying them as belonging to Christ. This sacred sealing provides the spiritual strength necessary to live as missionary disciples, serving others and bearing witness to Christ in the world today.

Preparation for the Sacrament
Preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a profound spiritual journey for our young parishioners, traditionally beginning in the eighth or ninth grade. The process focuses on deepening one's commitment to Christ through consistent participation in faith formation, selecting a faithful mentor as a sponsor, and attending mandatory preparation sessions and an annual retreat. These requirements ensure candidates are fully prepared to receive the seal of the Holy Spirit.
Missionary Discipleship
Those who are confirmed are called to live as missionary disciples of Jesus in their families, parish, and the wider world, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit in loving service to others and as dedicated witnesses to the Gospel in everyday life.
